TimeKeeper Server Software is the base for TimeKeeper Compliance, an archival data base and clock analysis center to assist companies in addressing MiFIDII and FINRA clock regulations and for internal controls. With Compliance enabled, a TK Server instance can aggregate clock data from thousands of TimeKeeper Clients and provide query capability over multi-year records, automatic report generation, and archival record keeping.

PTP versus NTP

Universal connector

TimeKeeper Server Software can bring in time from GPS clocks, Pulse-Per-Second lines, IRIG or other specialized connectors and over Ethernet and Infiniband networks using either IEEE 1588 Precision Timing Protocol (PTP) or Network Time Protocol (NTP) or any combination. The Server can output both PTP and NTP on multiple network adaptors. Any network device hardware timing assist is used, transparently. One common configuration uses PTP from one source as the primary source and NTP from another source as a backup. It is easy to configure the server to serve PTP on multple domains or NTP from multiple IPs, or to use PTP Telecom Profile or Hybrid mode. Time can come in via NTP and leave via multiple PTP domains - whatever suits the use.
