User Space Real-Time Memory Protection

FSMLabs’ Enterprise Realtime™ UserReal-Time creates real-time threads within the address spaces of user processes. These process space threads run under RTMS and can access the same POSIX threads API, but execute in user space where they have full memory protection. Shared memory, RT-Fifos and device I/O allow threads to communicate with hardware and other programs, both real-time or non real-time. The slot scheduler is designed to make simulation particularly simple.  UserReal-Time memory protection methods not only provide safety from faults in other system components, it also adds a measure of security against many failure and attack scenarios, with full access to everything from hard-real-time thread control to interrupt management.
