TimeKeeper Supports Windows Operating Systems
FSMLabs® announces immediate availability of TimeKeeper® PTP/NTP time synchronization software for Microsoft Windows® Operating Systems including Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012. TimeKeeper time monitoring, serving and client software has been available for years on Linux but with this release Windows systems are no longer restricted to the limited accuracy available from earlier time sync tools. Existing setups (not lab tests) show that synchronization in the sub 10 microsecond or better range is easily achievable.
Now TimeKeeper makes it easy for Windows applications to comply with MiFID II, SIP timestamp, and proposed FINRA, CAT timestamp accuracy regulations.
TimeKeeper Windows also provides high accuracy for cloud based and other virtual machine instances.
The chart above comes from a TimeKeeper instance monitoring a network of time clients on identical Windows systems. Most of the systems are using non-TimeKeeper synchronization solutions. The light green line that holds steady at 5-10 microseconds offset from UTC time is TimeKeeper. The the lines showing erratic times are from the other time synchronization solutions.
